Spanish Islands wine tasting
With the Edinburgh summer already in full swing, we'd like to bring to those who can't escape to the sandy beaches a piece of those sun-kissed islands in Spain with their wines.
Three earthy wines from the Balearic Islands, Mallorca, and two surprising gems from the Canary Islands, Tenerife. They are all made using native grape varieties from their region that reflect the character of hundreds of years of viniculture shaped by their particular climate.
Guiding us through this wine tasting will be wine and industry expert Michelle Bock.
A selection of Aperitivos de la Casa, or house nibbles, is included in the price, carefully chosen to pair with each of the wines and enhance the experience.
To add a bit more Island spirit, anyone dressed up for the occasion - a white linen suit or shirt, flowing white or colourful skirts - will get a little extra something.

This time around, the theme is the ancestral wine region of Priorat. Located in the dramatic landscapes of Tarragona, near Barcelona, the Priorat wine region is one of two that have been awarded the highest viticultural qualification level in Spain (the DOCa).

A special Sherry tasting event hosted by Nano, from Fernando de Castilla. Nano, who was raised amongst wine and sherry, driven by his father's passion, walked us through the delicacies of these sherries, which have been made in centuries-old solera, and the history that brought them to our glasses.
